Question by 1992: Why do I get 2 different chart for vedic astrology, and western astrology?

The assumptions behind calculating the exact position of planets are different. That is the main reason. In some cases the “Sun sign” also changes due to this basic difference in assumptions.
Those who believe in western astrology are convinced about its accuracy. The same is the case with those who believe in vedic astrology.
My belief is that life events are a result of our past deeds and choices we make. The accuracy of predicting these life events has its own limits as these predictive methodologies have been created and / or interpreted by man.
It is my further belief that we need to make the best choices so that we are at peace with our current and future life events. Astrology can help you make these best choices.

Is it more beneficial to calculate the houses and aspects based on the Moon or the Ascendant?
Are Yogas more accurate when looked at in terms of the Moon (e.g. Kendra houses 1,4,7, and 10 based around the position of the Moon)?
Is the Moon a better starting point than than the Ascendant? What about the Sun?
