For thousands of years, magnet therapy (also known as magnetic therapy) had been known to be a safe, simple, effective and economical form of alternative therapy. From a scientific point of view, magnets had been proven to help the body to regain its self-healing electromagnetic balance naturally.
There had been evidence that suggests that magnet therapy can help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, restore natural energy, increase blood circulation, and prevent infection and promote natural metabolic processes to help support the healing process.
From the proponents of magnet therapy, the claim is that it is a non-invasive treatment method with a high success rate.
Short history
There may have been a revival of sorts regarding the role of magnets in a person’s health and well-being, but this association goes a long way into the past.
For over 2,000 years, magnet therapy in China had occupied a central role in Chinese medicine. It had also been mentioned in the earliest writings in Egypt, India and Greece.
How it works
For the layman, magnet therapy works on the natural energy of magnetism and its relations to a person’s overall health. A magnetic field provides a natural method in helping the body’s normal healing processes.
Studies had shown that magnets had been an effective therapy for pain relief through the method of blocking pain sensations. Applying magnetic fields to an injured area improves blood flow and oxygen which in turn enhances the body’s natural healing process.
With the improved blood flow and the fluid exchange to the injured tissue helps reduce pain and inflammation.
Magnetic therapy today
In Japan and other Asian countries, therapeutic magnets are licensed as medical devices. There is growing popularity in the use of magnet therapy in such countries as Australia, Russia, Germany and many other European countries.
Lately, western medicine had used magnetic energy for diagnosis with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and as an alternative method of accelerating the healing of bone fractures.
Alternative therapy
Magnetic therapy is increasingly popular among progressive health care practitioners, veterinarians, professional athletes and the general population as well.
With the spiraling cost of traditional health care and the continual aging of the general population, magnetic therapy had been included by many as among the options in relation to health. For reasons of effectiveness and economy as well as simplicity, magnet therapy might be well on its way of becoming an important part of alternative therapy in the future.
Clinical trials
There were some clinical trials in the U.S. reporting on some successes on their results. In 1997, the Baylor College of Medicine published a study where 76% of treated patients using permanent magnets had reported a decrease in arthritic joint and muscle pains compared to the 19% placebo patients.
The New York Medical College also released a study showing a significant reduction rate of foot pain in millions of diabetic patients. Employing magnetic insoles in their shoes, nine out of ten diabetics reported a decrease in painful burning sensations, numbness, and tingling.
Understanding
For a long time, the medical community and the practitioners (and users) of magnet therapy had been at odds on the many aspects of this particular alternative therapy. Some consensus had been arrived at in the past, but only on minor points.
The major point is the medical community’s flat-out non-recognition of the medical efficacy of magnet therapy. The story continues.

Question by Myriam P: Natural Hormone Therapy?
This is not so much a question but something I wanted to share with other ladies out there. After posting this question I decided to ask my GYN if he knew of any natural hormone replacement supplements that was backed by clinical research, there is so many out there I didn’t know which way to go and because of a history with breast cancer I don’t want to go on HRT.
He sent some information back regarding “DONG QUAI” saying is the only one with clinical proof.
The estrogen found in the root mimics ours and it also helps as a calming agent for depression, mood swings, weight loss due to water retention and so on, worth reading about.
It comes in caps and in root form, the root really smells bad when you boil it to make tea.
Taken orally 6 per day, norn, aft., eve. and it takes 30 days for it to get into your system, the tea is faster but like I said is not very pleasant.
If you have high blood pressure ask you doctor, mine is always on the low side so is not an issue for me.
GNC does not carry this product Vitamin Shoppe does and is not expensive.
Hope this helps some of you
Best of luck to all of us

Good stuff – I’m impressed that your GYN took the time to do the research. Dong quai (Angelica sinensis) can be very effective to help regulate estrogen and treat/manage mild to moderate estrogen insufficiency.
Be aware that there are some potential drug interactions and that this herb is contraindicated during pregnancy (strictly CI during first trimester.) In some individuals, it may also cause mild to moderate photosensitivity so don’t forget your sun screen.
Vitex agnus-castus (commonly known as chastetree or chasteberry) is another herb with some good science behind it related to treating PMS/menopause symptoms and fertility issues. Here’s a link to results from a quick search on Cochrane database:

Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy®, a revolutionary therapy developed by Dr. P.S. Ajrawat, recently received a patent trademark. The therapy, also referred to as a scientific, non-denominational khalistani meditation therapy, is part of Dr. Ajrawat’s Dynamic Model designed to effectively manage and treat pain and stress from a scientific perspective, bringing balance between the body and mind.
Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy® is based on the fact that the mind and body is one functional unit, where balance is essential for homeostasis. With the application of multiple components, the therapy brings changes in vital signs, such as a decrease in heart and respiratory rates; general vasodilatation and improvement of circulation; blocking of mental chatter; increased energy; improvement of focus; relaxation and increased insightfulness, among others. It also helps an individual meditate upon self and look inward for solutions, making the individual more aware and insightful. The therapy can be done in any posture (Khalistani) and involves no autosuggestion or mantra.
Millions of individuals undergoing pain and stress suffer without appropriate help. It was frustration and a desire to aid those suffering that brought Dr. Ajrawat to create Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Meditation and Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy® and Dr. Ajrawat’s Image Therapy.
“As the world reaches a threshold with modern science and its failures to provide for a relaxed, functional state of mind, people are turning to old and ancient methods to achieve that paradigm. Until now, nobody created a scientific meditation that held solid ground, reflecting its mechanism and therapeutic effects,” Dr. Ajrawat says.
“The civilized world has used traditional meditation as a spiritual discipline for millennia and has believed it to be the ultimate source to relax and merge with universal consciousness. Regardless of effort and interest, ancient meditations could never translate into a scientific mode, as their conception, perception and projection were primarily spiritual, social or philosophical in nature,” Dr. Ajrawat says.
Despite the assertion of various methods and theories of relaxation and application of certain posture, focusing on imaginary energy circles (chakras), autosuggestion (mantra) or use of sound, people continue to feel more stressors in life, be they psychological, physical or social. Even in the medical field, the limitations of various methods including various types of medication are apparent. Often, people in need of help for mental and physical ailments begin certain types of meditation, but soon feel dissatisfied or at times violated or helpless when they find themselves dragged or trapped in a philosophy where they can face loss of personal autonomy in the name of, and search for, robust mental or physical health. This often results in further identity loss and more stress. Hence, a journey meant to bring realization of self, physical and mental health instead brings more self alienation, dependency, misery and pain.
As a scientific invention, Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy® is non-denominational and open to all. Persons of any faith can participate without feeling intruded upon or violated. Though Dr. Ajrawat is a religious man, he believes autonomic meditation therapy is likely to transform some of the basic concept of spirituality and faith. This meditation therapy will be administered by qualified individuals.
“The ultimate goal of this scientific meditation is to achieve sound mental and physical health and an empowerment of mind,” Dr. Ajrawat says.
Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy® is based on his concept of Bidirectional Psycho Somatic Autonomic Feedback and is designed to restore autonomic balance at will, improve the level of hormones, neurotransmitters, sympathetic and parasympathetic functions and general circulation of the body. This meditation therapy helps both healthy individuals and those with medical conditions such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress, depression, substance abuse, drug addiction, ADHD, bipolar disorder, hypertension, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, irritable bowel syndrome, cancer pain, Alzheimer’s and more, a majority of which involve imbalance of the autonomic nervous system.
Dr. Ajrawat has experimented and performed studies on patients using the autonomic meditation therapy with promising results. Qualified (fellowship trained and certified in pain management) as a pain specialist, Dr. Ajrawat’s knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, neural mechanisms, pain pathways, nerve endings, neurotransmitters, hormones, neuro-endocrinology and other areas has transformed his revelation into an effective scientific therapy where the primary focus is on the body and mind; organs, organ systems and their functioning; and restoration of homeostasis a new paradigm.
Hence, with Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy® and Dr. Ajrawat’s Image Therapy, an individual receives new control and vision. In addition incorporating strengthening and stretching exercises, ergonomics, elimination of pain perpetuating factors, good nutrition, walking alternated with jogging and practice of correct principles can help improve mental and physical agility, Dr. Ajrawat, believes essential.
“In this age of technology, humans are likely to be challenged by the very advancement they desire, such as autonomy of computers to achieve certain solutions, which some people will find hard to accept and deal with, which in turn will be detrimental to self-esteem and confidence,” Dr. Ajrawat says. “In that situation, it is only the relaxed mind, healthy body, creativity, awareness of self and following correct principles that can compete with the challenge of artificial intelligence and society at large. Cognitive therapies like Dr. Ajrawat’s Air-Pulse Autonomic Meditation Therapy®, Air-Pulse Meditation and Dr. Ajrawat’s Image Therapy will be the scientific tools to keep modern generations on the cutting edge.”

Words are hard to define, imagine trying to explain to a being from another plant what the word colour means, not what it is, but what it means. A dictionary meaning of the word colour is: “the quality of an object or substance with respect to light reflected by the object, usually determined by hue….and brightness”. Simply put though, colour is light at differing frequencies and wavelengths and light of course is energy.
Colour to me is important. My sister-in-law recently complained to me that I wear too much black. She’s right I do, but I like it, it is a comfort colour to me. Perhaps I use it to get lost in, I know recently when I was weight-conscious it did a good job of hiding bits of me that I didn’t want seen. Occasionally however I will wear bright colours, in an effort perhaps to be heard?
Colour can be applied to many things, skin, hair, thoughts, words to name a few. What then can colour do on a positive note for you? Within our etheric body, that is the double of our physical body that sits just in the ether. There can be found our chakras, these are the wheels of energy that ‘feed’ our aura. When teaching or healing, there are 7 main chakras. These chakras have colours assigned to them, from the bottom up they are. Red (base), orange (naval), yellow (solar plexus), green/pink (heart), blue (throat/thymus), indigo (third eye/brow) and violet/white (crown).
Subsequently our aura is full of colour. When we are feeling our best it should be radiant and bright, when we are insecure, or sad it will diminish somewhat and reflect our inner feelings. It is possible to do distance/remote aura readings in order to ‘prescribe’ some positive colours or action that can be taken to remedy the more muted colours.
Aura readings can also be used in psychic readings to encourage ideas and pathways that are right for you and to acknowledge that which has passed out of your life. So, this morning in your texts or caller comments, you can tell me what colour is on your mind and I will tune in and see what it means for you. Or ask me for a distant aura reading and I will let you know what your focus or plan for the moment should be.
