Question by Gretta: Do people really still believe in the idea of “soul mates?” I’m getting sick of it. Is anyone else?
If soul mates really exist, then 1. why are there so many divorces 2. why do arranged marriages sometimes work well and 3. why is it that attractive people tend to find their “soul mate” easier? — or do good looks give one “higher soul mate potential?” LOL.

Yeah, soul mates is really lame when you think about it. Not only does it put undue pressure on a relationship (“He is insensitive? She is acting bitchy? How can this be? HE/SHE IS MY SOOOUUUL MATE!!!”) but the idea is downright improbable. No one else in the animal kingdom claims to have a soulmate.

i dunno if it makes sense, but i like to believe in teh idea of a soul mate, marraiges end in divorces because people didnt find that person.
example: my parents were married so me and my bro would be born, then they divorced bcuz they werent right for each other, and are now in love w/ 2 diff people
so i like to belive that theres somebody out there for everyone, its when you find a person you truly loves who truly loves you back, thats ur soulmate

1. Because they found the wrong soul mate and they divorce
2. Arranged marriages work out because it’s arranged and the people getting married don’t go out and have a hard love life rather it is given to them and it is much easier on them.
3. And attractive people find soul mates easier because lots more women and men go out with them and they weed out the bad ones quicker. Or they give up and just have a really good relationship afterwards.

Soul mates don’t exist. Truth be told there a plenty of people with whom you are compatable. The trick is finding that person amd making the relationship work.
